Carter & Landon's Bday party!

Carter turned 3 on June 10 and Landon turned 2 on July 23rd so Heidi decided to combine their parties this year. They live in Chelsea, MI and she contacted the fire department and found out they actually do parties at the station FOR FREE! How crazy is that? We had been looking forward to seeing the boys because we hadn't seen them for about a month! Which is a super long time when you have little ones because they change and grow so fast!

We arrived at Bob and Heidi's house on Friday and had a great family dinner together! Heidi showed us the pinata that her and the boys made for their bday party the next day...it looked exactly like the astronaut poop off of Joe Dirt! Super ugly but definitely was fun for the boys to help make and it was a hit at the party!

Saturday morning we helped make the food and got everything ready to take to the fire department just down the street. When we arrived, the firemen had all the tables and chairs set up and all the trucks out in the driveway. They let us know that if they received a call, the trucks were already out and they would just pack up and go! (Luckily there was no fire during the party) The guys were super nice! They let the kids go in the trucks, use the jaws of life, and spray the hose! I do think it was more fun for the dads to check out the trucks and ask questions though! Edd was like a kid in a candy store!

We were all hanging out in the station and all of a sudden one of the garage doors started going down. I saw a fireman over by the button, so I didn't think anything of it. I actually thought he was closing it. Come to find out, Carter actually was inside one of the trucks and pushed the garage door button...out of all the buttons in the truck, he decided to pick that one! What a little rugrat!

The party was super fun and I was so impressed with the fire department! What an amazing offering for the community! It was a great weekend with family and made me really think about what is important to me in my life. Family is #1 and has always been.

Here are some pics from the weekend!

We had some time to hit up a lake on Saturday after the bday party! She didn't really have the best time in the water, but she didn't cry...so I'm calling it a success!

She loves her daddy!

Taking a walk with Lando! How stinkin cute is this?

Love.

It was such a great weekend!
