Christmas Festivities Part 2

On Christmas Eve morning we started making PawPaw's birthday cake! A fun activity for the kids, however, Landon was busy playing with toys so Carter helped! My idea of a two layered cake didn't quite work out. I definitely do not have a future in baking.

MawMaw let the boys open one of their presents early! Chutes and Ladders! They were super cute playing and Carter actually won many times.

So Heidi and Bob met some high school friends for lunch while mom and I watched the little ones. We had this awesome idea to shoot some photos of them in this sleigh. It started out so cute and then became a disaster. Addie actually ended up falling out of the sleigh into the tree and scratching her face up! Nothing a little Aquaphor couldn't heal in a couple hours though :)

This picture cracks me up. Landon is holding on to Addie so she wouldn't fall again!

My mom never ceases to amaze me. For lunch we asked the boys what they wanted to eat and Landon said hot dogs and mac and cheese, but Carter said mac and cheese and NO HOT DOGS! Well, me thinking that Carter needed some meat went ahead and made him some hot dogs and put them on his plate. But he didn't forget that he said NO HOT DOGS. So my mom went to get another plate and put his hot dogs on that so he didn't have them directly on his plate. I said to my mom "Don't you think he needs to eat some meat though?" She replied "Oh of course, but there are different ways to go about getting him to eat the hot dog." I sat back and watched her work her magic. I had to take a picture of the boys eating their hot dogs because I knew it was a learning lesson for me!
She ended up getting tooth picks for them to eat the hot dogs off of...they thought it was the coolest thing ever, and by golly, Carter ate all of his hot dogs! Amazement!

This little bear in the rocking chair sang a Christmas song. After the boys ate their lunch they were able to play with it. They sang the song right a long with the bear. It was adorable!

Edd returned back to Bucyrus after a day of painting the workout room in the basement. He needed to get it done while I wasn't in the house due to the primer smell. He arrived around 11a on Christmas Eve so we all could head over to Grandma Grocho's later that day. The tradition in our family has always stood to head over to her house for Christmas Eve dinner. After dinner we open gifts and then play the white elephant game :) Our families are obsessed with this game.

Addie loves opening presents and playing with the paper so I was able to capture some cute moments!

She opened a new night time sleeper and some white onezies!
(She looks adorable in the sleeper!)

She also opened this cute little toy that laughs and blieve it or not, it actually sounds like her own laugh! Too funny!
