South Carolina Xmas Trip Part 1

Our original game plan was to leave for Charleston, SC on the 26th night and drive through the night. We felt Addie might do better during the night instead of a 10 hour drive during the day. However, a huge snow storm was about to hit Ohio on Christmas Day night. So this is how it played out:

11a: Leave Bucyrus and headed back to Columbus
12:30p: Addie nap and unpacking
4p: I ran to grab Chinese food for dinner :) (It's kinda our family tradition)
6p: We made the decision to leave that night for Charleston to beat the storm
We started packing and by 8p we had departed our house!

As soon as we fed Addie her dinner, we popped her in the car and left! She slept all the way till 12a. I gave her a bottle and she fell back to sleep. Edd and I alternated driving every couple hours because we both were so tired!

6a: Arrived in South Carolina! Addie woke up around 5:45a and was content till we go there. Driving through the night worked!...well, for Addie! Edd and I were exhausted! :)

Mike, Lauren, Steve, Kristen, Edd and I would all be there within that day to spend 3-4 days with Edd's parents. We actually rented an apartment within Edd's parents complex for Mike and Lauren and then our little family. It ended up working perfectly!

The first day we decided to do our Christmas! Here are some pics!

 

We were so excited everyone arrived safely! We were ready to spend a couple days relaxing and spending quality time with our family!
