I have been waiting for the day that Addie sleeps through the night...she actually hates laying flat in her bassinet so I'm a little worried that she won't sleep in her crib. I have been placing her in the crib during the day for her naps so she gets used to it. Today she slept in her crib for a little over a half hour! YEAH!!! She looks so tiny in her crib!
In the picture you will notice Addie's arms look like she is signaling for a touchdown. Well, I just learned that we are not swaddling her correctly! I thought it would be torture to put her arms in the swaddle. We were at Mike and Lauren's and our friends Justin & Dana Bail have 3 kids Bella, Austin and Layla. They were getting the kids ready for bed and they started swaddling Layla with her arms pinned down. After asking them why, Justin stated she would wake herself up with her arms flopping all around. Totally makes sense huh? By golly it worked! Addie is sleeping through the night now! (7 weeks-sorry kinda back tracking) Her last feeding is no later than 10p and she is sleeping till 5:30a or 6a! So nice!
