milk milk and more milk

God has blessed me with milk. I mean really blessed. My goal is to store as much milk as possible and be able to stop pumping asap! I was storing so much that we had to purchase a deep freezer. We bought a 5 cubic foot deep freezer...which we should have gotten the 7 cubic foot one! Below is a picture of it. The picture is only after 1 month of storage...today it is completely full.

My cousin and his wife had a premie baby (31 weeks gestation) who stayed in the NICU for awhile. During his stay he was drinking breast milk from donors due to Kim not being able to produce enough. I had never heard of people donating their milk to the NICU's! How cool! The more I looked into it, the more information I found. There is a company called Milkin Mamas (http://www.milkinmamas.com/) where they accept breast milk from qualified donors! If you donate 300 ounces you get a one time reimbursement of $300! Wow! So stinkin cool. The company sends you a cooler and you pop your milk in it, call FedEx, and they come and pick it up at no expense to you! If you are an ongoing donor, like me, they will also send you free milk bags!

It has taken a long time to get through the screening process but I have donated 325 ounces and will be donating again next week! I literally have so much milk, why not help out little babies that need it!
