8 months old!

Addie has completely changed our lives. She is such an angel it's unbelievable. She is turning 8 months and amazes me everyday.

She started crawling around 7 1/2 months and now she is a maniac. After she stood up in her crib for the first time, we dropped that mattress down another notch! She currently walks on the outside of her crib when she wakes up! It never ceases to amaze me though that whenever I go to get her from her crib, she always has the biggest smile on her face. That is the main reason why I love being a mom. Seeing her smile at me just melts my heart every time!

Addie has been saying DaDa for awhile but not MaMa...I have been really working on it with her, but no progress until the other day she said MaMa at JoAnn Fabrics. I confirmed it with another lady that was standing around me! I just wanted someone else to hear it just in case I was going crazy!! :)

She pulls herself up on everything and is curious about Baron more than ever. He doesn't seem to like her AT ALL, but she loves him. She smiles and gets so excited when he walks by or she sees him.

I have been feeling some anxiety about not doing everything right with her. I know each parent goes through this, but I really am struggling with it. I have always been the type of person to want a consistent schedule and she doesn't always give me that. She rarely naps at the same time everyday, and sometimes she will go down easy for a nap and others she cries until we play for a little while longer. Even though she is not consistent during the day, she has always been consistent with her night time sleep...so I guess that's what matters the most right? (Well, that's at least what I keep telling myself!)

I go to the doctor for her 9 month check up in 2 weeks so hopefully the doctor will be able to answer all my questions! Here are some that I have:

1. She struggles with drinking water/juice out of a sippy cup or even a bottle. Is this really important right now since breast milk is 90% water? (At her 6 month check up he said he wanted to see her drinking 4-6 oz. of water/juice a day out of a sippy cup!)

2. When should I start implementing pureed meat?

3. Should she still be taking 2 naps a day?

4. How many ounces of breast milk should she be drinking a day? (I really only have about another month of breast milk left in the freezer-so should ounces of breast milk be the same for formula?)

5. Why does she not have any teeth yet????

6. What is on the radar for her next steps of development?

I think that is all the questions I have right now, but I'm sure more will come up before that appointment!
